Idina in Madison

I know this is a little late but my life has been crazy since I got back from Madison. I saw Idina live in Madison on November 2nd and really it was one of the best days of my life. My day really started at about 4:40 in the afternoon when I was sitting in the lobby of my hotel waiting for my friend to pick me up. I was working on my homework when I hear someone mention a "Miss Menzel" coming down. I immediately begin to freak out and and two seconds later, there she was, like twenty feet away from me. I asked her if I could talk to her and she said yes so I went over and started to ramble on and on in my nervousness. It was lucky that I was leaving at the same time she was because I had made her a scrapbook full of I stands of my friends and I. She took the book with her (YAY!) and gave me a hug. Unfortunately she had to leave before she could sign anything but thats ok because I met her and she has the book and thats all that matters :). When I got to the concert I could hardly contain myself, I was nearly bursting with excitement. From the moment she walked on stage to her final song of the night, I really couldn't breathe. Her stage presence alone makes her concerts stand out. She could just stand on stage and tell stories all night and I don't think anyone would mind. Her interaction with the audience is so great. I have never been to a concert where the artist is so involved with her audience. But really, her voice was what made the concert so over the top incredible. From slow, sweet songs like Where Do I Begin to upbeat, fun songs like Gorgeous, Idina can really do it all. Her cover of Roxanne was funny and beautiful at once and For Good gave both my friend and I permanent chills. However, the end of the concert is what really brought the house down. Defying Gravity was like nothing I had ever heard in my life. It brought me to tears and really did change me for the better. Seeing Idina Menzel live is a life changing event and I wish everyone got the chance to experience it.

Fellow Ozians... I LOVE IDINA MENZEL!

I stand for women's rights.

I might be afraid, but it's my turn to be brave.
