This is reminding me a lot of the organization To Write Love on Her Arms, which is great. To learn more about that movement, go to twloha.com. I think this Brave Movement is beautiful. Idina's lyrics are so inspirational to me, I am always posting them as statuses on Facebook, hoping they will impact my non-Idina-obsessed friends. I am lucky enough that my best friend is a Fanzel, but sadly not huge. I am introducing her to my other best friend. But the idea of reaching out to people, showing them they're not alone, is a wonderful thing. Idina has always been a figure of hope to me, and I would like to extend that to others who need it.

Lo, this is kinda old, I didn't see it, it's since October, but anyway I really liked the idea, I just understand some of these fanzels, in my classroom there is only one girl that cares about Idina, I always keep herself informed about her lol, we are the only two Fanzels in... in... in the entire school!! that's so frustrating... -_- well and other friends I know from my performing classes and some others, but they're still being few ones... ! Everyday I'm singing and screaming Idina's songs, and then they ask me: WHAT ARE YOU SINGING?, then I answer so proud of myself: IDINA MENZEL!!! they just put this face O.o :s and they ask: WHO'S THAT? and the one annoyed is me, cause I have to give so many explanations of who she is, that she won a Tony, that she was the Green Girl in Wicked, that she is married to this beautiful and handsome guy named TAYE DIGGS(everytime I say "Wicked" the face is the same, so I have to explain them what is Wicked -_-), but I'm always saying things about her and telling my friends about her beautiful songs that fit me everytime, and the results are kinda goooood! a friend of mine came today to tell me: Ooooo this girl... Menzel is? Oooo she's so beautiful and she's got this beautiful voice! what a girl you've chosen to be your ROLE MODEL! and I'm like: YEEEES ISN'T SHE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!! DON'T YOU LOVE HER! AND SHE'S GOT THE PERFECT HUSBAND! lol!

ok. some confusion is going on. let me clear things up (for oldies ive kinda changed the concept a bit):

we go around school on an assigned day. befriend someone that is lonely and needs friendship. make them feel comfortable with life..and let them know its ok to be aalone.

and so ask them what kind of problems are in their life. most of them will tell u. if not...just skip this step. and if any one of their problems has been touched on by an idina song..that is your moment.

introduce them to idina. let them know her music appeals to pop fans, rock fans, and ballad fans. tell them the lyrics in her songs can help thru that disaster...and give them a personal experience. that way, u make a new friend, possible prevent a suicide, and get idina's messages known!

ill post more descriptive info if necessary. there are two main goals i hope to achieve in this movement. one, get idina more popular for WHO SHE IS...not by making her sound mainstream and wellknown. and two, prevent a suicide. prevent an emo kid. make sure the lonely and trubled kids in your school..arent anymore.

The brave movement sound like a fabulous idea!!!! and it is sooo true!!! there are like only a few people in my whole class who even know who she is, and im the only one who like really cares!!!! most people think it is dumb that she is my idol!!!

Brave Movement Update

Okay!! i have a few updates!!

where i live no one has ever heard of her unless they saw her or heard about her from wicked
other than that i'm the only one out of all my friends who really cares..
i'm going to one of the fall concerts and my friends wouldn't really enjoy it as much as i would so i have to go with my mom..which is okay i guess but it would have been nicer if my friends would have come too

The Brave Movement Update

Alright, I've set an opening or starting day for the brave movement. I
m gonna start the sign up sheet soon, but on October 27th (Wicked's aniversary) it will officially start. Thats the kickoff day where I want all the people signed up to find poeple on here that dont talk to a lot of people and befriend them and read random blogs and try to HELP!!! I know too many stories of suicides because someone wouldnt even say a word to that person theyre whole life. This will make a difference in a lot of people.

Also, i would also like 2 other things. That the people signed up ALSO blog about their problems, whether it be small or big, so other people can help you too. And the last, at your school or neighborhood or something, find the I.C. (invisible child) and befriend them! please! it wont hurt to take five or ten minutes out of your time to talk to a lonely kid. just think how you would feel if you were ALL alone every day.

The Brave Movement

Well I'm not quite sure...but right now it will work like this?

Any Fanzel that has a problem or something going on and they need help, they just blog it, and people signed up for the Brave Movement give them advice and help and encouragment. The people signed up are expected to reply and help and hopefully this will be one step further to being brave.

I'm in for the "Brave" movement..

I'll be a part of the "Brave" movement too lol..that is my favorite song on the album and it shows how far Idina has come in her career since the days of being greenified (lol)..she is a very inspiring lady to her young fans (and even older fans like me lol)..I am very much looking forward to seeing her concert and i was very lucky to have my first experience at "Wicked" with her..so Idina, thank you for all you do to keep your fans enjoying the music!

Fanzels....The Brave Movement

i love this site with a passion. And the reason why i love it (bsides Idina-realted-stuff) is the fellow fanzels. my friends dont really care that much, and i feel kinda..different that i like her and no one cares or knows her. but that is why i come here! to talk to other fanzels. and besides our stuff in common, fanzels are also great friends to everyone, because i can tell that if you like something (or in our case..someone) and someone else does too...you two connect. and the fanzels here are great friends because we all have this connection that helps us understand what we're feeling. And we all know that Idina's music is inspirational, but I think the lovers of her music are even more inspirational. Since we get her messages, and most have different interpretations of the meanings, we have experience with advice (since Dee touches most every problem people have).

So...this is basically to say thanks to all you fanzels out there, for being who you are. Us Fanzels should start a saying...a movement...basically where we can blog our problems and help eachother out. I think a lot of people her can relate, and really help. I think we should start The Brave Movement.
