Comcast & Stand Up 2 Cancer On Demand Broadcast

Comcast Corporation and Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) have joined together to create the first-ever video-on-demand (VOD) initiative "Stand Up 2 Cancer On Demand" to broaden awareness and raise critical funds for innovative cancer research. Debuting exclusively on Comcast beginning December 15th, Stand Up 2 Cancer On Demand will feature an extraordinary library of musical entertainment including hundreds of music videos from many of the world’s biggest stars and groups. The broadcast will also include Idina's "Hope" tribute video to all those in the MLB family that have been touched by cancer.

Idina's latest single "Hope" is also still available on Amazon and iTunes with all proceeds benefiting Stand Up To Cancer. You can also participate in Idina's official donation group, which has already raised more than $1,800 to Stand Up 2 Cancer's research. Get involved and donate now.

It's a boy for Idina and Taye. The couple welcomed a son, Walker Diggs, on Wednesday. "Mother, father and son are all doing well," the reps said in a statement.

The Broadway belters announced the pregnancy in March, later sharing that the baby was a boy. Although they had a few names in mind, Diggs said they were waiting to make a final decision.

"We have a couple [names] in the running," the Private Practice star explained. "But part of us wants to see what he hits us with when we see him. We'll see what he looks like." Walker is the first child for Menzel and Diggs, who are both 38 and met on the 1996 Broadway production of Rent. They wed in January 2003.

Tony winners Idina and Audra McDonald's vocals were used for Stephen Flaherty and William Schermerhorn's "American River Suite" as part of the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks celebration. Their voices were also accompanied by the Choir Academy of Harlem.

The 9 PM Macy's 4th of July Fireworks celebration will be telecast live on NBC television and on 1010 WINS radio from the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York Harbor.

Last May, Idina starred in a spectacular rendition of Tim Rice, Benny Andersson, and Bjorn Ulvaeus' classic musical, "Chess". Recorded at the legendary Royal Albert Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, "Chess In Concert" will be released on CD/DVD on June 16th, and will air on PBS nationally on June 17th as part of the "Great Performances" series.
