Idina you have made my whole life perfect by singing 1 of my fav songs on 1 of my fav shows your "wonderfull" and I hope you can convince the glee cast that you showed sing DYFING GRAVITY that is my #1 fav song and it would be wonderfull to see you sing it on glee.And my sister adorse you and shes in the hospital becouse of an azma atack she had and she also loves that song so if you could do that for her i would love it.

Rachel's eyes were like,

Rachel's eyes were like, "Wow. That's my Mom." and Shelby's (Idina's) eyes were like, "Wow. That's my baby. That's my miracle." And what was even more amazing was that their voices carried across those emotions so well. Even when I close my eyes now and listen,Louis Vuitton I can feel the scene and feel the lyrics and the emotions between the two of them.

Glee

She does want to be there for rachel which makes it worse, but she knows she has already missed out on to much to come into her life now. When they sang I dreamed a dreamed together, it was so touching and emotional.

made my love for Glee stronger

Last night's episode was well worth the wait. My dog is incredibly hyper and the second Idina started singing "Funny Girl" the house was silent, even the dog stopped barking and running. She has a voice that is so pure and captivating. I REALLY hope this isn't one of her last appearances on the show. I wait for Tuesday every week and Idina being on Glee makes the show better for me. (Of course I'd die if Kristin and Idina did a duet, but its a dream.)

Anyway, I LOVED "Poker Face" but something about "Funny Girl" just stuck with me. It was amazing.

One of the most touching scenes on GLEE ever...

When I watched the Poker Face scene between Idina and Lea, I was tearing the whole time from the moment Rachel (Lea) said, "I know why you're here...to say goodbye." The emotions between the two characters were so honest and raw, and the mother-daughter connection during the duet between them was so real. I loved how they were so in awe of each other during the song, and it was all told in their eyes. Rachel's eyes were like, "Wow. That's my Mom." and Shelby's (Idina's) eyes were like, "Wow. That's my baby. That's my miracle." And what was even more amazing was that their voices carried across those emotions so well. Even when I close my eyes now and listen, I can feel the scene and feel the lyrics and the emotions between the two of them.

Not only one of the most touching scenes of GLEE ever, but I'm also gonna hand them the Best Cover of Poker Face Award ever (if there was one).

is anyone else kinda sad??? I hope Idina && Rachel fix their relationship and really do become mother/daughter ya know? That way Idina stays on the show! I REALLYYYYYYYYY dont want to see her leave!! :( i LOVEDDDD her on the show tonight but also have this conflicting sadness hoping "shelby" doesnt leave "rachel"!!!!!

Uh... Exactly

I think the storyline was perfect to be honest and actually pretty realistic as sad as that sounds... but we all have expectations when it comes to meeting somebody for the first time or when it comes to believing a relationship will be a certain way -- it's usually not the case and it takes effort and time.

My entire take on the episode wasn't that the feelings weren't there but that Idina's character didn't want to overstep any bounds after being away for so long and being known for being cold. She's not at heart, but doesn't know how to approach the situation.

It's the typical cliche situation of if you love something set it free, if it comes back it was meant to be...

I think major Glee fans are upset because after IDAD they thought it was going to be magic between Rachel/Shelby but the writers made it more realistic and I'm hoping that's because we will see their relationship grow in future episodes and possibly season 2. Just my $.02 for what it's worth.

I personally liked it and felt it was emotional -- but that's coming from someone who has had some mother-daughter experiences in her life :)

I know exactly what you mean, because i went through this same thing, being adopted though. I love the emotional && realistic-ness of Idina's character, but i hope you're right that she'll be back & that hopefully their relationship will grow....even into season 2

Tonight was pure Heaven. Idina doing Funny Girl --one of my favorite songs from that magnificent show --finally a SOLO! And then totally rocking it on Poker Face. Plus some great dramatic scenes showing her acting chops. I love you Ryan Murphy :-)

I can't imagine anyone else playing Rachael's mother. This could be a very good storyline, and the music the two of you could make together, why you could be another Judy and Liza! We need you back on GLEE!!

Major screen time for Idina.

Excellent episode! Best of the "Back 9" so far. But what else can you expect when there's Lady Gaga performances/outfits and Idina is one of the main plot lines. Glad she got more screen time this episode! And two whole songs. They were pretty great.

AMAZING!!!!

Last night's Glee was amazing, and Idina's performance had me in tears! I'm so happy with the Shelby character... for a second there I thought I was going to have to boycott Glee lol!!!! I so can't wait for next weeks epsidoe, LADY GAGA!!!! And I can't wait till Next month... I'm going to see Idina in Philly!!! I'm going to try not having a "I'm Not Worthy" moment, but i can't promise it!

Great episode--due largely to the reappearance and performance of Idina.
