CHICAGO star TAYE DIGGS had to propose to his wife five times - because she was convinced his romantic gesture was another of his practical jokes.

The hunky actor - who wed his lover IDINA MENZEL on 11 January (03) - asked his wife to marry him when they were naked in bed, because he wanted to ensure he caught her by surprise.

Taye recalls, "I wanted to have an anti-proposal. Because everyone around me was getting married, and you hear all these crazy, elaborate stories where it's on top of the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING.

"I really wanted to surprise her, I didn't want her to have that moment where she said, 'Okay, he's about to ask.'"

The romantic star continues, "I wanted us to both be in our natural state - just completely naked, so I waited til we were in bed and I looked at her face and did the thing and brought out the ring. And she kept on asking me if I was serious, like four of five times.

"She said, 'I don't wanna look at the ring unless I know you're serious, is this a joke?' I'm a pretty good practical joker, and she didn't want to be left out there."

Just saying Hi

Hi evryone!!!

I am new to the sight and I just adore idinas work!! Her voice is amazing i love it! Her new album is great too! After seeing the movie Rent (i wish i saw her in the play) i became a huge fan!!! Her songs are so deep and her acting is so awsome!!! I especially love her a Elphie she waz the BEST! Well i just wanted to say HI and petra2061997 you are so lucky!!!!!! =D

So exciting

I can't wait to find out about the new details.

I know some people seem a little concerned about renewing, but Sarah told us earlier this year things would be slowing down for awhile because of not a lot going on in Idina-land (as in Idina being pregnant). It's not like we weren't told and things are picking up a litte with the contests.

Again, I'm looking forward to the new details and can't wait to see what they are!

I am new to all of this! But, still one of the biggest Idina fans in the south, if not the biggest! lol. Anyway, I have the free basic account and not sure if you have to renew again for that as well? Can someone help me out with that! Thanks!!

nice to here from a fellow huge basic account fan! as far as i know, u don't have to renew the basic account. it's just the people who pay for the fan club that have to do that. hope that was helpful! =D

renewal. you mean like a need to pay again????? :( that makes me sad. idk if i wanna do that, cuz nothing has happend in the fan club wihtin the past 3 months!! i wanna be in the fan club, i just dont wanna pay for nothing!!! :( what do you think i should do?? also, if we do renew, is there anyway we can change our email address????? i dont like this renewal!!!! lol.
