Macy's 4th of July Event

Tony winners Idina and Audra McDonald's vocals will be used for Stephen Flaherty and William Schermerhorn's "American River Suite" as part of the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks celebration. Their voices will also be accompanied by the Choir Academy of Harlem.

The 9 PM Macy's 4th of July Fireworks celebration will be telecast live on NBC television and on 1010 WINS radio from the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York Harbor.

It was great to hear Idina singing again. I felt so proud that her song. "American River", was the last before the grand fireworks finale. Hopefully, it'll be available on Itunes or mp3 in the future. But for now, for all you fanzels out there, here's Idina singing "American River":

all parades and stuff in NYC where singing is involved uses prerecorded songs and the sings just mouth the words. its for sound purposes, like so we can watch it on tv and so people attending the even can hear everything from every cornor
