Idina's Chess PBS Special

Last May, Idina starred in a spectacular rendition of Tim Rice, Benny Andersson, and Bjorn Ulvaeus' classic musical, "Chess". Recorded at the legendary Royal Albert Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, "Chess In Concert" will be released on CD/DVD on June 16th, and will air on PBS nationally on June 17th as part of the "Great Performances" series. Check your local listings for details.

Chess on PBS-KET

My local PBS station has been having video and audio problems during the whole viewing of CHESS tonight for Great Performances. It is so bad it is unwatchable. The video freezes, everyone sounds like robots, etc. Luckily, I pre-ordered the special edition set. :)

o i know exactly how u feel.

o i know exactly how u feel. i kept getting those rediculous warnings also like every 10 minutes. and then there was this other obnoxious time when the screen just wwent blank and "one moment please" was displayed on it. probably cause of the horrid weather. but yea i know what u mean.

So I totally just saw the preview of Chess.... go to idina-here.com to see it. Its the first update at top of the pageand there is a link! It looks so freaking awesome and all the amazing talent in it just makes me more anxious to see it!

at last!! it was amazing!! cannot wait! i have been singing all the songs ever since!

they interviewed me for the DVD at the stage door but i really hope it got cut cos i am guessing it will be very cringe :)

idina is an inspiration

Chess In Concert

I went to the recording of this, and to say it was amazing would be an understatement!!! It was outstanding!!

Idina was fabulous and when she sang I Know Him So Well with Kerry Ellis I got shivers down my spine!! A vocal match made in HEAVEN!!!

You Americans are DEFINATELY in for a treat when this airs!! Us Brits have been waiting for the CD/DVD for over a year, and I am counting down the days til it is released!!

this says it airs on the 16th but on idina here.com it said the 17th which is it cause my 21st birthday is on the 17th and that would totally be really cool if it was on the 17th.

I graduate the 16 th at 6pm and I'm singing a solo and idk how long it will be and i dont wanna miss chess so i hope its the 17th!!
