London In-Store Signing

Idina will be doing an in-store signing at the Dress Circle Shop in London on May 17th at 1pm. She'll be signing copies of her new album "I Stand". Make sure you get there early! For more info click here.

What time are people going to the signing?
I have to pursuade my dad its not going to take too much time out my day as i have a maths GCSE on monday and he wants me to stay in and revise.

Also, She was totally amazing in Chess last night :)

okayy well if you go on rotten tomatoes you can search tollbooth which is what i did. i guess idina plays the sister who is "nuturing". i dont know. ill have to get it. and she has some really REALLY cute pictures of the enchanted preview. like they are gorgeous! massive. okey doke.

Funny story from the dentist

okay so funny storyy. today i had to go to the dentist to get my teeth looked at, obviously, and the dentist asked me what i was doing over the summer i said going too new york. and i told him all about how we were going to see wicked and he said oh yeah, i saw that like three years ago. and i like yanked this little air sucker out of my mouth and i was like DID YOU SEE IT WITH IDINA MENZEL??? and he was like yep. one of her last three performances. i nearly died!! jeez. some people have all the luck! :/

ugh. i wish i was going too see her. gosh dang it. this is majorly uncool! dang. well everyone better watch extra hard for all of us who cant go. and you better come back and give us ALL the details! well i am excited for all you guys and idina!! rock it girl.

Tollbooth Mishap

Ugh! I have been excited all day waiting to go home and get the mail. I got The Tollbooth from Netflix and when I opened it and was about to put it into the DVD player, I realized....

IT WAS BROKEN INTO TWO PIECES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we have to report the broken disc and have to wait another like three or so days to get it! At least it will be on the weekend and I will ahve even mroe time to watch and love it but I am so dissapointed!!!!!!!!!

Wicked movie

I've been hearing a lot of rumors, not a lot of them true, but the one that is popping up the most is this,
Resse Witherspoon "Could" be set to play Glinda, but this isn't neccessarily true, it's just one of the things I found.

If this movie is to be made in 2014, why would there be a trailer for it, showing people who are unlikely to play the parts in the movie in the first place.

My opinion, this is another rumour made to create a lot of talk about nothing, although, if you consider that Wicked broke the box office record for making money on it's opening night at London, I'd certainly see making a movie as a profitable investment for anyone who produces it. Overall, there proberbly isn't a movie yet, but if there's enough hype, there could be pressure to make one sooner than you think.

wicked movie

the rumors are a way to get talk and excitement to get a movie on the project list. not always does it work but its still a great way to do it..

I really hope they make it sooner than 2014. I really Want DEE to play elphaba and not some one else. i don't think any one else could potray the part in the right way. DEE created elphaba and every one follows in her light so she should def play the part.

I LOVE IDINA MENZEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure there is going to be a movie. Only because it broke boxoffice records it will do so well as a movie. I may bring the broadway show down, however, but I did read this in the interview with Mr. Maguire, and I am sure he knows best.

WICKED MOVIE...for all those who are wondering

1. I DOUBT that Idina will play Elphaba, but who knows? There was no info on who would play what from what I read. The others are paid to be Elphaba, not be like Idina. There are many people who like Wicked when they see it who don't have a clue who Idina is. (but the original cast would be awesomest)
2. I read this in an interview with Gregory Maguire.
3. It IS going to be a movie based on the MUSICAL, not the book.
4. It is probably going to come out in 2014.

wicked movie..

i do not want to speak for idina, but i have seen her and kristen both comment on the wicked movie, and they both said they think it would be amazing to be a part of it, but by the time it comes out they are going to be too old to play two school girl witches..i love them the best but i mean there are some other great performers..shoshana and megan? anyone??? or carmen cusack is just fafntastic..i saw her in cleveland!

What time?

Hey everyone!

What time are people planning on getting there? I think I will probably try and get in for about 9:15ish, if i can persuade my parents to wake up early! :)

Also if anyone recognises me from the boards (same username there) then come over and say him, but only if my parents aren't there! Should be wearing something with the word fanzel on :)

help...

I have no idea what time i am going to get there... i wanted to get there are like 9ish but i dont know now because none of my friends can come and i dont know if my mum would like to get up early on Sat to go!!!

Her cd's have gone onto the UK itunes. well it was last time i checked. hope that helps = )) i need to get the cd anyway. you can only get the cd's from the Dress Circle signed!!!

Is it true that you have to buy a copy of her album there? because i already bought a copy at Dress circle, and i've still got the recipet to like prove it?
Also, can we get other things signed or does it have to be the CD?

If your copy of the album is from Dress Circle and you have the receipt you can get that signed. I bought mine this weekend (before the price goes up!) and double checked with them that I could.

I think you can only get the CD signed and nothing else, but I'm bringing my old Wicked programme to see if she'll do that too. She signed my Rent DVD ages ago but not my programme when I saw her in Wicked.

ME TOO!!!! I would have loved to see her in Wicked! I'm going to her San Diego concert, so hopefully she will sign stuff there. I'm going to get a CD for my friend's birthday and have Idina sign it. It'll say something like "happy birthday(friends name), love idina." My friend isn't a huge fan (well not like me), but I'm pretty sure she would still be psyched to have it.

I can't wait for May 17th to see Idina!

I really am excited about Idina's visit to London in a few weeks time. I'm also hoping to get tickets for her proformance on May 20th. I'm a little disappointed that you can only get copies of her album signed that have been brought in store that day as I've had 'I Stand' since it was released but wont complain, as a chance to meet Idina makes it worth buying another album.

It's going to be a great week!!

I'm off to New York to see RENT the following week, so it's going to be a great way to end the month!!
